After a morning of chores and forcing my kids to work on Scouts and piano and math facts and reading, etc. (nope, can't get out of school work around here!), they are now free to do what they want, and I get to do....
REVISING!
Yaayy. Not really.
So, I've just settled in for some #amrevising with a cup of cinnamon apple spice herbal tea (yum! It totally smells up the entire room!). And yep, this mug is one I got during my NYC trip a few weeks ago. I just had to have it.
I usually write here, but in an unmade bed and without all the pillows, of course.
But since I actually took the time to make my bed today, I will be writing here. It's a futon in our room and I love being able to prop my feet up on the ottoman. And it's a great place for my tea!
As you can see, I LOVE pillows! :) |
Where do you like to write?
I just bought a new writing desk and I am SO EXCITED to decorate it with all the things that fuel my creativity. It'll be a bit strange writing at a desk when I've been sitting on my couch for so long, but I'm hoping it'll help my wrists last longer :)
ReplyDeleteThat's so awesome! I've actually been looking at writing desks online because I really do want one. And I want a cute decorative board to put above it. Kind of like my inspiration board. You'll have to post pictures once you get it all set up! :)
DeleteEnjoy your revisions day and hope the kids don't bug you.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Yep, that's what I'm praying for—a couple uninterrupted hours! :)
DeleteI have an in-home office, which I love! I used to write at the dining room table, which was awful. Wooden chairs don't make for a happy writer. ;)
ReplyDeleteThere is no way I could sit on a hard, wooden chair—torture! I've tried the kitchen table, but then my back starts to hurt after a while. I wish I had an office! :)
DeleteThose writing areas of yours are so pretty! I'd be afraid I'd spill coffee all over those nice pillows. :)
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I put together some new furniture for my office - it took forever! - and I'm still figuring out where to put things, what to put in the drawers, on the walls, etc.
Thank you! I do have to be pretty careful...
DeleteEnjoy decorating your office—that sounds so fun! You'll have to take pictures when it's all done. I love seeing different writing spaces. :)
Hope you're all cozy and warm, and surviving the storm:)
ReplyDeleteI write at the table or at the computer room. That was a huge snowfall all of you had and I wish we had some so I could have a snow day (just like a kid). When I was in Grade 8, my family and I survived the Blizzard of '77. Many people died and thousands lost power (we were lucky). my school, which was one story and a flat roof was under a huge snowdrift! It took 2 weeks to be dug out. If you google it, you will see images and I grew up ina small town called Wainfleet-we were one of the worst hit
ReplyDeleteI hear about this thing called a snow day, but I am unfamiliar with the concept. We don't have them around here. Snow. Or snow days.
ReplyDeleteI write sitting on my bed. I kind of want a couch to write on. One of these days...
Gorgeous bedroom! And I have to have my feet propped up, or I'm just not comfy. So glad your boys finally got the snow they were wishing for- w/a vengeance, lol! Now go be a boss on those revisions. ;)
ReplyDeleteYou have some very comfy writing spots! :D Hope you have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteI finally left the house and got out into the world today after being holed up at home since Thursday. It was SO nice!!! But now I'm back writing again. I did a ridiculous amount of work in the hopes of catching up so I could take this weekend off to go on a trip. My clients see "caught up" as a sign they should send me more work. I'm just going to disappear Friday through Sunday and maybe they'll get the hint? Probably not!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you survived the snowstorm. Those writing spots look really comfy. I generally write at my desk at my computer. My chair is not nearly as plush as all those pillows. Enjoy your revising time!
