Moonless Book Release Blogfest

Today I am participating in another Blogfest--this one put on by author Crystal Collier. Check out her debut novel, Moonless. It has a "killer" plot!!

In the English society of 1768 where women are bred to marry, unattractive Alexia, just sixteen, believes she will end up alone. But on the county doorstep of a neighbor’s estate, she meets a man straight out of her nightmares, one whose blue eyes threaten to consume her whole world—especially when she discovers him standing over her murdered host in the middle of the night.

Her nightmares become reality: a dead baron, red-eyed wraiths, and forbidden love with a man hunted by these creatures. After an attack close to home, Alexia realizes she cannot keep one foot in her old life and one in this new world. To protect her family she must either be sold into a loveless marriage, or escape with her beloved and risk becoming one of the Soulless. BUY IT HERE
In honor of Crystal's book release, she issued a Blogfest challenge--If you lived in a society where arranged marriages were a la mode, who would you beg your parents to set you up with? Why?

Okay, this was a hard one. I'm already married to the perfect guy for me, so it's extremely difficult to choose someone else I'd want to be "set up" with, but I decided to give it a shot.

My dream pick would be.....Drum roll please....SUPERMAN!!

Honestly, who doesn't love Superman? And I'm not thinking the Christopher Reeves Superman, but more like the Henry Cavill Superman. The reason? Because he's super HOT...do I need another reason? Plus, he shoots lasers from his eyes, bends metal with his bare hands, flies, and is totally in tune to the needs of others. Sounds like a dream guy to me!

So, who would you ask your parents to set you up with? Leave your answer in the comments and check out all the others in this awesome Blogfest!

  1. Lol! Woot, woot! Superman! Here's where I blush and confess my editor was totally crushing on Henry Cavill while working with me (and comparing him to my book's lead). I've got a tender place in my heart for those dimples and bright blue eyes just because of her.

    1. That is too funny! The main male character in my first novel could easily be Henry Cavill also, but I didn't even know he existed until AFTER I finished the novel. When I saw him on the Tonight Show talking about his new Superman movie, I was shocked! I couldn't believe my Declan Worthington-- dark-haired, handsome British man actually existed!! And with the sexy British accent to go with it! I've always thought, if my book takes off, I know who I want to play the lead character in the movie. Ha!!

    2. Awesome! Yeah, he's not how I pictured my lead, but my editor... Man. I did go to dinner the other night, and the guy who waited on us...I had to force my self to stop staring. He was SO Henry Cavill I was beginning to think the actor was here, working to get perspective on a future role. (It could totally happen while living in the Orlando area, eh?) Alas, no British accent.

    3. Wish I had been there with you at dinner! I can only imagine...lucky girl!! Could have been him concealing his accent...you never know! :)

  2. Hahaha, I am loving these choices. Henry Cavill Superman would definitely be my choice of hunky super heroes too. Cool shooting lasers from his eyes. If only it wasn't for my hubby. Ha. Great choice!

  3. LOL, Huntress might fight you for Henry Cavill. He really is one all round good looking man. He made my top 5 "Could play Landry" list too. I'm an eyes person. It's what I notice first and his are amazing. The rest of him isn't bad either. ;)

    Glad hubby comes first though!

  25. hmmm book sounds intriguing as for my choice, I don't like it that he has x-ray vision and therefore can see all my lumps behind my clothing:) I am also scraed of heights so to go flying with him would freak me out-poor guy. Batman is too brooding and needs to smile. The Green lantern is, too green so I have to pick an underdog-Aquaman! I love to swim and everyone overlooks him since I only know him from the 1970's cartoon. Either him or Colin Firth:)

    1. Haha! Can't hide much from Superman--very true! Aquaman is a good choice as well. And of course, you can't go wrong with Colin Firth! Thanks for stopping by!!

  26. I hadn't even considered superheros. Hmm...I'm always calling my husband Aquaman because he's always been a swimmer and has swoon-worthy lats and pecs. Oops, sorry, TMI. :)
